Abstract Submission

Abstract Guidelines

Abstracts submissions are now being accepted for the 9th International Ceramide Conference (iCC9) which will be held May 1-5, 2017 at Danfords Hotel & Marina in beautiful Port Jefferson, Long Island, NY, USA.

Abstract Deadline:
The deadline for abstract submissions is March 31, 2017. It is strongly recommended that abstracts be submitted well in advance of the deadline.

Preparing the Abstract:
In an effort to maintain uniform formatting for the program brochure, we ask that all abstract submissions follow the guidelines below.

    • Use Arial 11 font
    • 1” margins
    • Abstract should be no more than 1 page in length; Body of abstract should be no more than 2,500 characters
    • Each Abstract should include the following: Title, Author(s) & Affiliation(s), Abstract body, Source of Support for the work, (Sample abstract format)
    • Presenting author’s name should be underlined

Submitting the Abstract:
Abstracts should be submitted via email to ceramide@stonybrookmedicine.edu. Submissions should be in both a Microsoft Word version and a pdf version. Please indicate if the abstract has been published or unpublished and indicate which category below your abstract would best fit into. DO NOT INCLUDE THE CATEGORY IN YOUR ABSTRACT.

Presentation Preference : Authors may select from two presentation formats when submitting an abstract: “Oral preferred” or “Poster only”. “Oral preferred” indicates that you prefer an oral presentation, but will accept a poster presentation if necessary. “Poster only” indicates that you would not like to be considered for an oral presentation. Please indicate your presentation preference when submitting your abstract.

Position/Title of Presenter: Please indicate your position/title (student, postdoctoral fellow, faculty) when submitting your abstract.

Confirmation of Session Information and Presentation Requests:
Abstracts will be submitted to the Review Committee. After the review process, confirmations of both oral and poster presentations will be relayed to the authors by March 31, 2017.
